The Mobo Awards 2017 held in Leeds at the First Direct Arena . Nigerian artist Wizkid beat Jay – Z , Kendrick Lamar and others to clinch the best international artist award .

Stormzy dominated the list with three awards ; best male artist , album and grime act prizes . J Hus received four nods in categories including ‘ Best Male ’ , ‘ Best Album ’ , ‘ Best Song ’ and ‘ Best Video ’ , while the ‘ Best Newcomer’ category is one of the strongest yet with Mabel, Not 3s , Dave , Stefflon Don and more great artists nominated .
