The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar has re-iterated once again that the military is working very hard to meet up with the December deadline given to them by President Muhammadu Buhari to rout out the Boko Haram insurgents from the North Eastern part of the country.

Air Marshal Abubakar made this known at the passing out parade of 477 recruits of the Basic Military Training Course 34 at the Nigerian Airforce Base in Kaduna State, North West Nigeria, he added that the Air Force is sparing no efforts to stamp out terrorism and bring back the much needed peace and stability for development and prosperity in the country.

Air Marshal Abubakar who noted that plans were under way to procure more equipment for the service, also informed the new recruits that majority of them would be deployed to the Northeast to fight the insurgents and other troubled areas across the country.

Addressing the graduating students, Air Marshal Abubakar commended them for enduring and sustaining the tempo throughout their training period which he said has prepared them for the challenges ahead.

He reminded them that they were joining the force at a time the nation is faced with daunting security challenges, therefore, their role in securing the nation’s territorial and internal security cannot be over-emphasized.

He also urged them to maintain a high level of discipline, commitment, loyalty and respect to civil authority which the Nigerian Airforce is known for.

The Air Marshal assured that the welfare, training and re-training of officers and men of the service remains the cardinal objective of his leadership, and however warned that the Nigerian government will not tolerate any act of indiscipline from them.
