Since getting out of prison, Meek Mill has been all about working towards criminal justice reform. However, he’s also keeping his music career in mind, releasing his Legends of the Summer EP earlier this month. While he may be planning a larger project for later in the year, he’s also keeping his eye on a few other Philadelphia artists. Lil Uzi Vert notably hit his stride coming out of Philly a few years ago and right now, there’s another rapper who’s identifying herself as a major threat to the music industry.
Of course, we’re talking about Tierra Whack. We’ve been high on Tierra since she released her epic Whack World project, dropping 15 music videos of a minutes length and becoming one of the first to release an album as such. We haven’t been the only people to take notice though as the Philly-bred recording artist also has the backing of one of her city’s biggest names, Meek Mill.
Sharing an image of the two embracing, Meek dubbed her as the single greatest force in the game right now. He wrote, “Biggest threat to the music industry @tierrawhack #phillymade.” She’s made a severe impact with her most recent project with many respected artists are praising her for such a creative and well-thought-out album. It’s no surprise to see Meek supporting his fellow Philly rappers. Do you think she could pop up on the next Meek project?
