Davido Wins Best African Act At The 2017 MTV EMA

Davido is having a banner year in 2017 and the year keeps getting better for the Nigerian superstar. He has just been announced as the winner of the Best African Act category at the 2017 MTV EMAs.

He beats the likes of Wizkid and Nasty C to the well coveted award.

The DMW boss had a good run in 2017, following the success of his songs “IF” and “FALL“

He released a new single, FIA, produced by Fresh on Friday.

Also, Canadian teen singer Shawn Mendes won best artist at the awards, pipping heavyweight competitors such as Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Ed Sheeran.

The awards, the first to be handed out in the British capital in 20 years, were hosted by Rita Ora and featured performances by Eminem, U2 and David Guetta.
