Rae Sremmurd Sued for Injuring Fan with Water Bottles
A Rae Sremmurd fan is suing the Tupelo twosome for negligence, assault, and battery after he claims that his face was injured at one of their concerts.
Jonathan Marko, a Michigan fan, says that the duo threw bottled water into the crowd during an October 2016 show, as per TMZ. At least one of those bottles reportedly struck Marko and removed “a chunk of his face,” according to the lawsuit.
The impact of the incident left Marko with permanent scarring and disfigurement, he claims. A photo of the alleged victim shows the man with a bloody and stitched up nose. Now, he is asking that Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi cover his medical bills and additional damages.
Rae Sremmurd is currently prepping for the release of SremmLife 3, the group’s third official studio album. Earlier this month, they released their new single, “Perplexing Pegasus.”
Next, the duo plans to release a collaboration with iLoveMakonnen. “We have a record that’s multigenerational, multicultural, something for everybody, but still true to us,” Makonnen told Rap-Up.
