YG Reportedly Refused To Get Out Of His Car When Stopped By Police
A report from TMZ says that YG was “ afraid police would
hurt him if he exited the vehicle . ” YG was stopped by police
Wednesday night where he reportedly refused to exit his vehicle
to ensure his safety, according to TMZ. Citing “ law enforcement sources , ” the report states that the Compton rapper was stopped in Burbank due to the tinted windows on his Maybach . After being asked for his license and registration, YG is said to have replied “ no . ” When asked to exit the vehicle he reportedly once again answered “ no , ” as well as telling the cops he “ didn’ t trust them , ” and was “ afraid police would hurt him” if he got out of his car . The TMZ story says that YG eventually agreed to exit his car after “ a bunch of patrol cars raced to the scene for backup . ” He was cited for not having ID , his tinted windows , and having no license plates .
YG has yet to publicly comment on the alleged interaction with
police . YG has previously addressed police brutality in his music , most notably on “ Police Get Away With Murder , ” the closing track from his 2016 sophomore album Still Brazy.
