Jose Mourinho wants to bring Rio Ferdinand backto Manchester United as part of his coaching staff.
it is claimed that Mourinho believes the former centre-back has ‘outstanding qualities’ and has made enquiries about the 37-year-old’s availability.
Ferdinand, who was twice the world’s most expensive defender, spent 12 seasons at United, winning six Premier League titles and the Champions League.
Ferdinand currently works as a pundit for BT Sport and will be part of the BBC’s team for Euro 2016.
