Gist: Desiigner’s “Panda” Still #1 ; Drake’s “One Dance” Moves Up To #2

Desiigner holds off Drake on the top of the Hot 100.

Desiigner completed his improbably ascent to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 last week. Billboard reports that he has maintained his hold on the top spot for a second week, fending off a charge from Drake ‘s “One Dance.”

“One Dance” climbed to the the No. 2 slot, up from No. 3 a week ago. This is the third time Drake has held the No. 2 position on the Billboard Hot 100. Previously, “Best I Ever Had” and “Hotline Bling” peaked at No. 2

Two Prince singles made their way into the top ten thisweek: “Purple Rain” at No. 4 and “When Doves Cry” at No. 8. Eight Prince songs in total and all 12 songs from Beyonce ‘s Lemonade made the Hot 100.
