Drake’s ‘More Life’ Breaks Single Day Streaming Record on Spotify
Just three weeks after Ed Sheeran set the new high score with his ÷ album, Canadian rap superstar Drake reclaims his position as the most streamed artist on Spotify .
Drizzy’s new “playlist” More Life was streamed 61,302,082 times in its first day, beating out Ed’s 56,727,861 spins, an amazing achievement considering it was premiered for free on Beats 1 Radio and wasn’t exclusive to Spotify . The artists’ projects had 76,355,041 and 68,695,172 each in their first 24 hours of availability (spanning over two days).
With tracks like “Free Smoke” and “Passionfruit” already receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback, it isn’t likely that Drake’s numbers will be slowing up any time soon.
