The Breakfast Club host Charlamagne tha God is one of the most popular radio personalities in the country. He has drawn the ire of countless R&B and rappers — most recently, Beanie Sigel and Jaheim.
According to the AP , The book, entitled “Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It,” is said to contain “brutally honest insights” as C Tha God recounts his journey from the dusty roads of Moncks Corner, South Carolina to radio and social media prominence. It is slated for an April 18,2017 release via Simon & Schuster.
“I wrote this for the dreamers, for the optimists; this book isn’t for pessimists,” Charlamagne told HipHopDX. “This book is about embracing who and what you are regardless of race, gender, sexuality, and class. God gave you the privilege of this thing called life so regardless of what this society tells you that you can’t do and what you don’t have to understand you lack nothing God gave you everything you need to succeed.”
