Put your pinky rings up to the moon. Bruno Mars is set to kick off this year’s American Music Awards.

Not only will the “24K Magic” crooner open this year’s show, it will also mark his first AMA performance ever. However, he’s no stranger to the show. Bruno has been nominated seven times over the course of his career and won Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist in 2011.

Although he’s opening the show, Mars isn’t up for any AMAs this year. The nods were announced earlier this month with Drake racking up a record-setting 13 nominations.

Bruno is currently enjoying the success of “24K Magic,” which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 this year. The song is also the title track off the singer’s forthcoming album, due Nov. 18.

Just last week, Mars appeared on “SNL,” where he performed “24K Magic” and debuted “Chunky,” which is also expected to appear on his next LP.

This year’s AMAs will broadcast live from L.A.’s Microsoft Theater on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
