Royce 5’9″, Pusha T, and Rick Ross get political in the music video for their collaboration, “Layers.” The Ryan Snyder-directed clip finds therhyming trio kidnapping a politician. King Push, Nickel Nine, and Renzel team up to make sure the plan goes smoothly, even if things do get a bit bloody in the process.“Layers” features a Louis Farrakhan speech thatinspired the political tilt. “The Farrakhan speech inspired me to want to do something a little different and push what would be considered my creative boundary a little bit,” Royce told Complex . “I thought having me, Push, and Rozay on a song together would be unexpected as well as a great start at doing so. Enjoy.”“Layers” is the title track off Royce’s latest album , which followed Tabernacle: Trust the Shooter earlier this year. Watch “Layers” below.
